A Seattleite and a graduate of Meany Middle School, Garfield High School, and Seattle University. She started teaching second and third grade in a public dual language school in Portland, Oregon, in 2004, and moved to New York City a few years later, where she got married in 2010 and moved back to Seattle, where she taught and later consulted at Mercer Middle School. After spending some years at home with family, she returned to education here at Holy Family in 2021 where she has served as middle school teacher, instructional coach and vice principal. Her husband is assistant principal at West Seattle Elementary, and both as a partnership are extremely passionate about equity in education. She is an avid reader and a trail runner and love embracing new challenges and adventures.
