Mrs. Erika Torres was born and raised in Guadalajara Mexico where she attended Instituto de Ciencias from elementary to high school. She was a competitive swimmer and runner from elementary school through college, and a swimming instructor for kids of all ages since she was 16. She is and Industrial Engineer from Universidad Panamericana with an advanced degree in Quality Production Systems, and worked as an engineer in Mexico for 5 years. She was also a part-time math professor in elementary and middle school at Colegio Los Altos. She moved to Hanover, New Hampshire for two years while her husband attended grad school, and relocated to Seattle two years ago. She is very excited to share the benefits of being active and healthy with her students at Holy Family, and help reinforcing their proficiency in Spanish – her mother tongue. On her free time she loves hiking, swimming, running, playing with her family and friends.
